Competition at Chromosome Ends: Insights from ATR Kinase Activation through POT1 Deletion

POT1 is essential to the DNA damage response. MEF cells were transduced with a DD-POT1 gene, and then the endogenous POT1 gene was knocked out. Shield1 was used to control the DNA damage response in a rapid and reversible manner (measured by levels of POT1 protein and DNA damage markers). This method was easier and faster than working with shRNA.
