Clinical Grade RetroNectin® Reagent Now Available

RetroNectin Reagent has been widely used to improve retroviral- and lentiviral- mediated gene transfer into a variety of mammalian cell types. Clinical grade RetroNectin Reagent, for use in ex vivo clinical applications, is now available. RetroNectin (GMP) Reagent is manufactured as a quality-assured product, according to guidelines for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for Investigational Products.

Chemiluminescent HRP Substrates for Western blotting

The Western BLoT HRP Substrate series are chemiluminescent substrates for detecting horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-labeled antibodies used during Western blotting. Takara Bio offers three types of HRP substrates for Western blot detection:

• The Western BLoT Chemiluminescence HRP Substrate (Cat. # T7101A) is suitable for detection using X-ray film, produces a strong signal, and provides high sensitivity with short exposure times.
• The Western BLoT Quant HRP Substrate (Cat. # T7102A) is intended for Western blot detection using a CCD camera and produces a strong, long-lived signal.
• The Western BLoT Hyper HRP Substrate (Cat. # T7103A) is more sensitive than Western BLoT Quant and is suitable for quantitative detection of low-abundance proteins.

New Primer Sets for Gene Expression Analyses

The PrimerArray® Series are sets of real-time RT-PCR primers for analyzing the expression of genes associated with specific biological processes, pathways, or disease states. Each PrimerArray plate contains primers for 88 pathway-specific genes and 8 endogenous control genes. The dedicated PrimerArray analysis tool allows simple data analysis (relative quantification) and data visualization.

• PrimerArray Embryonic Stem Cells: Analyze the expression of key markers of mouse or human embryonic stem cell pluripotency.
• PrimerArray Disease States: Analyze the expression of genes associated with colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, melanoma, lung cancer, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, or diabetes in human or mouse.

A New Kit for qPCR Normalization

In real-time PCR (qPCR), target gene expression is often normalized to the expression of a reference gene to obtain relative quantification. The External Standard Kit (λ polyA) for qPCR provides an external reference for qPCR normalization. The kit contains reference RNA (λ polyA+ RNA-A) and primers for real-time PCR detection- simply add the RNA to your sample before oligo-dT-primed reverse transcription and detect with SYBR Green using the provided primers.
