The CellAmp Direct RNA Prep Kit for qRT-PCR and Protein Analysis is for preparation of templates used in One-step and Two-step qRT-PCR utilizing a simple method of extraction directly from cultured cells in 96 well-plates or others. Preparation of templates for real-time PCR from cultured cells takes approximately 10 minutes.
Use of this kit with a One-step real-time RT-PCR kit (i.e., One Step SYBR Ex Taq qRT-PCR kit) allows gene expression analysis to be performed in approximately 2 hours. With a combination of the kit with a reverse transcription reagent, BluePrint RT reagent Kit (RR737A/B), cDNA templates for real-time PCR can be synthesized in 30 minutes or so, significantly contributing to efficient high-throughput analysis. Templates can be prepared directly from small quantities of cells which are useful for analysis of a gene expression profile and does not influence the high sensitivity of qRT-PCR. Genomic DNA can be easily and efficiently removed using this kit. Therefore, it is excellent for expression analysis of genes, primers that can’t be designed on both ends of an exon junction, or where expression is at low levels. In addition, template samples prepared with CellAmp Direct RNA Prep Kit for RT-PCR (Real Time) and Protein Analysis are compatible with any of SYBR Green assay and TaqMan probe assay in real-time PCR, and thus can serve a wide variety of experimental applications.
