The mRNA Selective PCR Kit is a one-step RT-PCR kit designed to selectively amplify cDNA that has been reverse-transcribed from RNA. Such selective amplification of cDNA occurs because the kit selects the cDNA into which a dNTP analog has been incorporated during cDNA synthesis. The mRNA Selective PCR Kit enables successful cDNA synthesis from RNA by taking advantage of AMV (Avian Myeloblastosis Virus) Reverse Transcriptase XL in combination with AMV-Optimized Taq that was developed using LA (Long and Accurate) technology. Both the AMV Reverse Transcriptase XL and the AMV-Optimized Taq are capable of cooperatively functioning in a single tube to enable one step RT-PCR. This one-step RT-PCR kit includes all the reagents required for cDNA synthesis from RNA and selective amplification of cDNA.
