Takara's High-Salt Solution for RNA Precipitation may be used for high quality RNA purification for plant samples and to enable polysaccharide removal and proteoglycan removal. The reagent is typically used to remove any remaining polysaccharides in the plant homogenate sample following RNA preparation. High purity total RNA can be obtained by adding the High-Salt Solution for RNA Precipitation reagent during the isopropanol precipitation step of the plant RNA extraction.
Note: The High-Salt Solution for RNA Precipitation is not recommended during recovery of small molecular size RNA (small RNAs).
