RNase-Free Water

This product is RNase-free water for RNA treatment, not treated by DEPC (diethyl pyrocarbonate).

As it is not treated by DEPC, there is no worry about the inhibition of RT-PCR by residual DEPC. It is suitable for use in many applications such as the preparation of RNA sample and reaction mixture.

Purity

Nuclease activity is not detected in any of the following cases, as judged from the agarose gel electrophoresis pattern:

  • RNase activity check: After incubation with 1 µg of total RNA derived from HL60 cells for 16 hours at 37°C
  • DNase activity check:
    1. After incubation with 1 µg of lambda DNA for 16 hours at 37°C
    2. After incubation with 1 µg of lambda-Hin d III digest for 16 hours at 37°C
    3. After incubation with 1 µg of pBR322 DNA for 16 hours at 37°C
