TBS (Tris-Buffered Saline) Powder

TBS (Tris Buffered Saline) is a buffer used to dissociate tissues, wash and disperse cells, and dilute substances. The product is also used to conduct bound/free (B/F) separation, to wash solid-phases in EIA and as a wash buffer in immunolabeling techniques. TBS has many uses because it is isotonic and non-toxic.

Components

One package (for 1 liter) contains:

Tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane 1.24 g
Tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane hydrochloride 6.27 g
Sodium chloride 8.77 g

Storage

Store dry at room temperature. After rehydration, seal tightly and store at 4°C.

This product is manufactured by Roman Industries Co., Ltd.

Preparation

Dissolve 1 package in distilled water to make up a total volume of 1 liter (50 mM, pH 7.6)
