Anti-Human KGF Mouse IgG MoAb

Keratinocyte growth factor (KGF), now known as fibroblast growth factor 7 (FGF7), is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family of proteins that possess broad-ranging mitogenic and cell survival activities. KGF/FGF7 is also known as heparin-binding growth factor 7 (HBGF7). KGF displays mitogenic activity specific to epithelial cells; it is active predominantly in keratinocytes but not in fibroblasts or endothelial cells. Studies in rodents have implicated KGF in epithelial morphogenesis, re-epithelialization of wounds, hair development, and early lung organogenesis. KGF binds to fibroblast growth factor receptor 2b (FGFR2b).

These products are affinity-purified IgG antibodies that recognize human KGF protein. The antibodies were raised in mouse using recombinant KGF protein, and can be used for Western blot (WB) detection of human KGF protein.

Storage

Lyophilized: stable 5 years at 2–8°C. In solution: stable 2 years at –20°C.

Form

Lyophilized from an antibody solution containing 1% BSA in PBS and 0.05% NaN3. To use, reconstitute in 1.0 mL H2O.
