Anti-Rat MCP-1 Antibody

Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) is 76 amino-acid cytokine that belongs to the CC chemokine subfamily. It is also known as macrophage/monocyte chemotactic and activating factor (MCAF), chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2 (CCL2), small inducible cytokine A2, SCYA2, HC11, GDCF-2, SMC-CF, monocyte secretory protein JE, and monocyte chemotactic protein. MCP-1 recruits monocytes, memory T cells, and dendritic cells to the sites of inflammation produced by either tissue injury or infection. MCP-1 is implicated in several types of chronic inflammatory diseases, such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, nephritis, and atherosclerosis.

These products are affinity-purified IgG antibodies that recognizes rat MCP-1 protein. The antibodies were raised in mouse (Cat.# 10121) or rabbit (Cat.# 18371) using recombinant protein (Cat.# 10121) or synthetic peptide (Cat.# 18371) and can be used for Western blot (WB) detection or immunohistochemical (IHC) detection of rat MCP-1 protein.

Applications

Recommended antibody concentration (the optimal concentration should be determined empirically):

Form

Lyophilized from an antibody solution containing 1% BSA in PBS and 0.05% NaN3. To use, reconstitute in 1.0 mL H20 (final concentration, 100 µg/mL).
