Anti-Human GRO-beta (C) Rabbit IgG Antibody

Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 2 (CXCL2) is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine subfamily. It was previously known as GRO2 oncogene, GRO-beta, macrophage inflammatory protein 2-alpha (MIP2-alpha), and melanoma growth stimulating activity beta (MSGA-beta). CXCL2 is also known as growth-regulated beta protein, C-X-C motif chemokine 2, SCYB2, MIP2, MIP2A, CINC2A, and GROB. CXCL2 has 90% identity in amino acid sequence to CXCL1. CXCL2 is expressed by activated monocytes and neutrophils and expressed at sites of inflammation. It exhibits chemotactic activity for polymorphonuclear leukocytes and hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). CXCL2 interacts with a cell-surface chemokine receptor known as CXCR2.

This product is an affinity-purified IgG antibody that recognizes human CXCL2 (GRO-beta) protein. The antibody was raised in rabbit using a synthetic peptide, and can be used for Western blot (WB) detection or immunohistochemical (IHC) detection of human CXCL2 (GRO-beta) protein.
