Liver sinusoidal endothelial (SE) cells comprise approximately 50% of the non-parenchymal hepatic cells. play an important role in hepatic microcirculation. They are morphologically unique because they do not possess a basement membrane, and form a fenestrated monolayer. These cells control the exchange of material between the blood and the liver parenchyma, and make up a powerful scavenger system. This antibody may be a useful marker to study the role of liver SE cells in various pathophysiological conditions.
This product is an affinity-purified IgG antibody that recognizes rat hepatic SE cells. The antibody was raised in rat using an antigen localized to the membrane surface of hepatic SE cells. It can be used for Western blot (WB) detection or immunohistochemical (IHC) detection of rat hepatic SE cells.
