Human Platelet Monoclonal Antibody

GMP-140, which is also known as P-selectin or CD62P, is a cell adhesion molecule that is important for platelet recruitment and aggregation at sites of hemorrhage or inflammation. In unstimulated platelets, GMP-140 is localized internally. Upon platelet activation (such as via thrombin), GMP-140 moves to the platelet cell surface where it participates in the adhesion of neutrophils to injured endothelium. The binding of platelets has been shown to be inhibited by anti-platelet antibody such as GMP-140 antibody (also known as CD62P antibody). 

Takara's human platelet monoclonal antibody was raised against activated human platelet GMP-140.

Specificity

  • These products react with human GMP-140 (P-selectin).
  • These products do not react with reduced antigen.

Storage

Lyophilized antibodies are stable at 4C for up to 2 years. The reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 4C for up to 6 months or at -20C for up to 1 year.
