Human Insulin Monoclonal Antibody

Human insulin monoclonal antibody may be used for the analysis of the structure, function and metabolism of insulin. This anti-insulin antibody, also known as INS antibody, is applicable for Western blot analysis under non-reducing and non-heating conditions and for immunohistological studies of frozen tissue sections.

Source

Human insulin monoclonal antibody is generated by fusing the mouse myeloma cell line P3U1 with BALB/c mouse spleen cells following immunization with human insulin. The INS antibody is then purified from mouse ascitic fluid.

Storage

Lyophilized antibody is stable at 4°C for up to 2 years. The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 6 months or at –20°C for up to 1 year. Do not expose to repeated freeze-thaw.

Specificity

  • This product cross-reacts with human, bovine and porcine insulin.

Reconstitution

Dissolve the lyophilized antibody in 100 µl of distilled water (final concentration: 2.0 mg/ml).
