Gene expression analysis to screen for pluripotency of embryonic stem cell and induced pluripotent stem cell (iPS cell) is streamlined and efficient with the PrimerArray Embryonic Stem Cell array. This array includes primers for key markers of mouse or human embryonic stem cell pluripotency as determined by the International Stem Cell Initiative International (ISCI). When performing gene expression analysis by real-time RT-PCR, these ready-to use primer sets save time, minimize pipetting, and reduce error.
The PrimerArray Embryonic Stem Cell array contains 96 primer pairs representing 88 genes associated with embryonic stem cell or iPS pluripotency and 8 housekeeping genes. When comparing an unknown sample to a control sample, gene expression differences can be expressed using the relative quantification method. The expression levels of multiple genes can be screened simultaneously. The PrimerArray Analysis Tool Ver. 2.2, available for download on this web page, and/or Multiplate RQ (for use with the Thermal Cycler Dice Real Time Systems, not available in all geographic locations) are useful for analyzing data obtained using these products. Primer set information and the PrimerArray analysis tool can be downloaded from this page (click on the Resources tab, then expand the drop-down menu under Technical Notes).
