Cellartis Definitive Endoderm Cells (from ChiPSC18) are human definitive endoderm (DE) cells derived from the human induced pluripotent stem (hiPS) cell line ChiPSC18. The hiPS cells have been differentiated into definitive endoderm cells in vitro to generate a population of >90% SOX17-protein-expressing cells; they are then dissociated into a cell suspension and cryopreserved. These DE cells are suitable for further differentiation into hepatocytes or pancreatic endoderm cells. To differentiate the DE cells into hepatocytes, use the Cellartis Hepatocyte Differentiation Kit (Cat. No. Y30050).
During the differentiation process that creates Cellartis Definitive Endoderm Cells (from ChiPSC18), the mRNA expression profile—as measured by RT-qPCR—shows the expected temporal expression of endodermal markers SOX17, FOXA2, FZD5, CXCR4, HHEX, and SOX7; mesoendodermal marker Brachyury; and pluripotency marker OCT4.
