Monoclonal Antibodies for Detecting Pluripotent Cells
The Cellect series of monoclonal antibodies is used to identify, characterize, and isolate undifferentiated human embryonic stem (ES) and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. These antibodies recognize cell surface antigens that are down-regulated during differentiation and are specific to pluripotent stem cells. hES-Cellect and ES-Cellect recognize human pluripotent stem (PS) cells and can be used to separate human ES cells from feeder cells or differentiated progeny using magnetic cell separation or flow sorting. hFF-Cellect recognizes human fibroblasts and can be used to assess human feeder cell depletion and identify non-reprogrammed fibroblasts during human iPS cell derivation. Additionally, the Cellect series of antibodies facilitates the identification of newly-reprogrammed human iPS cell clones by non-cytotoxic live cell staining.
