Capturem Protein G 96 is a 96-well plate that provides rapid, high-quality, small-scale purification and screening of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies. This 96-well plate combines the specific antibody-binding properties of Protein G with novel Capturem technology to provide high-capacity, membrane-based affinity purification in a high-throughput format.
Screen your antibodies with a purification method that is:
- High throughput: purify 96 antibody samples simultaneously
- Fast and convenient: 15-minute, room-temperature protocol
- High quality: short residence times reduce the possibility of aggregation or loss of activity
- High purity: small bed volumes in plate wells trap few contaminants and allow large-volume washes
- Flexible: purify a wide range of antibodies
Protein G is a cell wall protein from the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus with a high affinity for the Fc region of monoclonal and polyclonal IgG-type antibodies from several different species, e.g., mouse, rat, human, etc. This product uses a recombinant Protein G that was engineered to remove the albumin binding domain, as well as the cell wall and cell membrane binding domains, in order to improve specificity towards the Fc region of antibodies. Capturem kits use a novel high-capacity membrane-based affinity technology that has previously been used to purify highly concentrated his-tagged proteins in just minutes at room temperature, via miniprep columns, maxiprep columns, 96-well plates, and large-volume units.
Capturem Protein G 96-Well Plate
Capturem Protein G 96 consists of a single-use, disposable 96-well plate that yields 50–100 µg of purified antibody per well, depending upon the sample type, species, and antibody isotype. This 96-well plate is suitable for purification of antibodies from animal sera, ascites fluid, cell culture media, and other sources. Capturem Protein G 96 can purify antibodies with a 15-minute protocol at room temperature. Starting materials, specific antibody affinities, yields, purification times, and binding capacities of individual wells are comparable to individual Capturem Protein G Miniprep columns. Capturem Protein G technology is also available in maxiprep columns that yield highly concentrated antibodies in 15 minutes.
Where resin columns fall short, Capturem Protein G 96 yields highly pure monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies in just 15 minutes, from loading the sample through elution. Short residence times greatly reduce the possibility of antibody aggregation or loss of activity, giving downstream applications a higher probability of success.
