Terra PCR Direct Polymerase Mix saves you time and money by allowing you to skip DNA extraction and purification, and go directly to PCR amplification. Terra PCR Direct contains a novel DNA polymerase that lets you amplify directly from animal and plant tissues, as well as from crude DNA extracts. In addition to saving you time and money, this highly sensitive DNA polymerase lets you save precious samples by requiring only a small amount of DNA template. Moreover, Terra PCR Direct comes preblended with a monoclonal antibody, allowing automatic hot start PCR. Terra PCR Direct Polymerase Mix lets you easily amplify DNA targets up to 2 kb, even when the GC-content is greater than 70%.
Terra PCR Direct has been optimized for direct PCR amplification from animal and plant tissues, such as blood, tail and ear biopsies, or leaf cuttings. Importantly, PCR products amplified directly from animal tissues do not always resolve well on agarose gels; however, this can be easily prevented by adding Proteinase K to your gel loading buffer. Consequently, we recommend ordering Proteinase K along with Terra PCR Direct Polymerase Mix if you are amplifying directly from animal tissues.
