PrimeSTAR HS with GC Buffer

PrimeSTAR HS with GC Buffer is intended for high fidelity PCR amplification of GC-rich template that contains 75% or greater GC content. PrimeSTAR HS with GC Buffer is a unique, high fidelity PCR polymerase, offering both maximal accuracy and better amplification efficiency of high GC content PCR than regular Taq polymerase.

The GC buffer that is supplied with PrimeSTAR HS facilitates robust, efficient and accurate extension through even highly GC-rich template regions. Inclusion of a monoclonal antibody suppresses both the DNA polymerase and 3'-->5' exonuclease activities of PrimeSTAR HS polymerase prior to the first denaturation step. This prevents false initiation events during reaction assembly and primer digestion. PrimeSTAR HS with GC buffer provides reliable amplification and exceptional accuracy and specificity in high GC content PCR applications where amplification of high GC DNA templates for cloning or library construction is required.

Purity

Nicking, endonuclease and exonuclease activities are not detected upon incubation of 0.6 µg of supercoiled or lambda-Hind II digested pBR322 DNA with 10 units of PrimeSTAR HS enzyme for 1 hour at 74°C.
