With the NucleoSpin Gel and PCR Clean-Up Kit you get two applications in one. The supplied column, which is suitable for gel extraction as well as PCR purification, binds DNA to a silica membrane in the presence of a chaotropic salt. Once the binding mixture is loaded directly onto the NucleoSpin Gel and PCR Clean-Up Kit column, only a single wash step using Buffer NT3, an optimized buffer, is necessary—providing rapid DNA purification. You can isolate fragments from 65 bp–10 kb in a minimized elution volume (as low as 15 µl) with a recovery of 70–95%. Downstream applications include sequencing, ligation, labeling, cloning, and restriction enzyme digestion.
