Products for the induction, inhibition, and detection of apoptosis.
Caspase Inhibitors
These cell-permeable peptides are noncleavable analogs of caspase (ICE-family protease) substrates.
- YVAD-cmk is an irreversible synthetic peptide inhibitor of Caspase-1. It can be used to investigate the cellular effects of protease inhibition on apoptosis.
- IED-fmk is a peptide inhibitor of activation of the Caspase-8, an ICE family protease. The IETD tetrapeptide sequence is conjugated to fluoromethyl ketone (fmk). This inhibitor is used to investigate the cellular effects of protease inhibition on apoptosis.
PARP Monoclonal Antibody
Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) is a substrate for CPP32/caspase-3, a member of the ICE family of proteases. The PARP Monoclonal Antibody can be used to detect PARP cleavage by Western blot analysis, providing a useful marker for early apoptosis.
