Vector sequence file in .gb format (gb = genbank)
A TEXT document with sequence information that can be viewed using a text editor (e.g. Notepad & TextEdit), or sequence analysis software (e.g. SnapGene & Vector NTi).
How to view .gb (genbank) files
Right-click on the downloaded file, select “Open with” from the drop-down menu, then select the appropriate program. Alternatively, drag the file icon over the desired application.
To view an annotated map, open the document in a sequence analysis software (e.g. SnapGene & Vector NTi).
To access and/or copy the DNA sequence, open the document in a text editor (e.g. Notepad & Text Edit).

SnapGene is a new sequence editing software with an updated look, user-friendly interface, and many capabilities. The free viewer is perfect for basic sequence analysis and creating annotated maps. We are fans!
Where are vector documents located?
Vector documents can be found under the “Documents” tab of the product pages (see below).
Where are documents for discontinued vectors?
Follow the instructions below:
Go to the “Product Documents” section under the support tab (or click here).
Select the “Discontinued” option.
Enter partial or full vector name in the search field, and click the “Search” button.
Select the “Vector Information” tab from your search results to view available documents.
